Commercial work

Renovating a commercial property without shutting it down

Demolition, reconfiguration and finish work in buildings that already function — office, medical and retail space, inside and at the facade.

Who it is for

Owners modernizing, renovating or repositioning a property

The common thread is an existing building and people who still need to use it. The work is sequenced around that, not the other way round.

Modernizing

The building works but it is dated. Finishes, lighting and layout come forward without moving the business out.

Renovating

Something has changed — headcount, a department, a lease — and the space has to change with it.

Repositioning

The property has to show differently to attract the next tenant or the next use, inside and at the street.

A commercial interior with new carpet tile laid across the floor and wood-look plank flooring meeting it in the foreground, stacked flooring material and a step ladder still in the room under a lit ceiling grid

Where it starts

What is under the old finish decides the new one

Stripping a floor back to slab is where most renovations really start.

Outside as well as in

Exterior and facade work

A repositioning rarely stops at the front door. Where the project includes it, Paloma takes on the exterior and the facade alongside the interior work, so one contractor is answerable for how the building reads from the street and how it works inside.

Keeping both halves on one schedule matters more than it sounds: exterior work sets the weather protection the interior trades depend on.

Scope

What the work covers

  • 01

    Selective demolition

Taking out only what has to go, so the rest of the building keeps working.

  • 02

    Reconfigured walls and layout

New partitions and openings to suit how the space is actually used.

  • 03

    Updated lighting, power and systems

Lighting, outlets and services moved to match the new layout.

  • 04

    New finishes throughout

Flooring, paint, ceilings and trim across the areas in scope.

  • 05

    Exterior and facade work

Work to the outside of the building where it is part of the project.

  • 06

    Phased work around occupied areas

Sequenced in sections so people can keep using the building.
